An Interview with Mindy Kollman:

VV: How long have you been a TIR trainer?

Mindy: I became a certified/accredited TIR Trainer in November 2011

VV: What inspired you to become a TIR trainer?

Mindy: I have been a TIR facilitator since 2005 and have been using the TIR techniques with my clients literally from the day after I competed my TIR workshop with Gerald French and Brian Grimes. As a family therapist I find using TIR technique with my clients to be extremely effective. I see on a daily basis my clients achieve relief from their traumas/pain and gain amazing insights and personal growth in very short periods of time. I love the results TIR and other Applied Metapsychology viewing offers my clients in resolving and overcoming their past traumas.
Another inspiration for me to become a TIR trainer is to be able to train as many people as possible in using this technique to help others to resolve their traumas. I also love the fact that everyone does not need a degree in psychology in order to become a TIR facilitator. TIR uses simple techniques with amazing success rate, with no judgment/evaluation and honoring the client. Totally person centered.

VV: Are you willing to travel to deliver training, if so under what conditions?

Mindy: Absolutely, I am happy to travel - anytime/anywhere. Please contact me for details.

VV: Do you have a private practice?

Mindy: Yes, I do. Please check my website: understandingu.net for more details

VV: Besides TIR, what other things are you interested in?

Mindy: I enjoy listening to music, reading, writing and gardening. I like traveling, studying human potential and insights into my own spiritual growth. I love making delicious meals and spending time with my friends and family.

VV: Describe your professional background?

Mindy: I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I am certified in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and in Satir Systemic Brief Therapy as well as a Play Therapist. I have also assisted in intensive workshops for Context Training and Lifeline Seminars for many years as a TA. I have a strong background working with PTSD, gang related issues, adolescents and women’s concerns and challenges. I am honored to work with anyone who wants to gain higher self-esteem and confidence in themselves. Thus changing their world to become more of ease in gaining joy, success and fun in their lives.

VV: What other courses are you currently teaching?

Mindy: I have facilitated many groups and seminars over the years in Mental Health Services, College and Corporate settings, which I have designed and implemented such as Assertiveness, Self-esteem, Communication, Anger and Team building workshops.
My interest at present is teachings all three Applied Metapsychology Courses.
